After trying to obtain a mortgage with my usual bank that I have been doing very satisfactory business with for the past 40 years, once 4 weeks had gone by without a satisfactory conclusion, I contacted Ruby at Dominion Lending. My usual bank was not providing the kind of service that could be described as “royal”, and to be honest this was the second time in two years that they took several weeks to give me mortgage approval (the first time, I lost a deal because of mortgage approval delays, and the seller would not give an extension to the condition to obtain mortgage approval). But, Ruby had mortgage approval arranged for me this time within two days with basically the same terms and conditions that my usual bank was offering. I don’t know how she did this, but she certainly worked magic, and in the tough Toronto real estate market in the spring/summer of 2017, it was one less major stressor removed from my mind. I should have gone to her first, then maybe I would not have had to arrange for an extension to close on the house purchase I had made       -Valliant
